Natural terracotta is a traditional flooring solution used all over the world, for that Mediterranean inspired feel, Natural Terracotta offers a real warmth to both kitchen floor and outdoor patio spaces.

Can you use our natural terracotta externally? Yes but only in the aged finish, due to its frost proof properties and textured finish for slip resistance.

Do you have to seal natural terracotta tiles? Yes, Natural terracotta required sealing, we recommend a pre install treatment of boiled linseed oil and a final treatment after grouting has been cleaned down, Terracotta is a porous material which absorbs moisture so by sealing the material until it cannot absorb you protect it from staining, once sealing is complete water will sit on the surface in a bubble. On internal applications we recommend a clear wax seal as well to offer a low maintenance floor that will only require a top up wax treatment every couple of years to ensure your terracotta stays in top condition for many years.
